The Wolf Pack clan: Teamspeak Tutorial

Quick Connect Information

If you know how to setup TeamSpeak then the connection IP is 144.140.154.121:9057

What is it?

TeamSpeak is a voice communication program that we use to communicate with each other. It can be used in-game to issue orders or provide help for example; or out of game to organise everyone joining a particular server etc.

Special Note for Telstra® Bigpond® subscribers

We often receive the question "Does the bandwidth I use on your private TeamSpeak server count towards my monthly usage?"

The provider of our TeamSpeak server states the following on their website

" Currently most servers are unmetered for BigPond Broadband ADSL and Cable customers. We can not guarantee that this will always be the case; unmetered traffic should not be regarded as a feature of the service. "

How to install it?

This tutorial is meant to be really easy to understand

These Steps will help you install, setup and connect to a favorite server.

  1. Download and then Install - Team Speak 2.0 Client(make sure you choose the correct Operating System installer): http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=downloads
  2. Start your Team Speak 2.0 client
  3. Setting up your Team Speak 2.0 Options:
    • Go to your Setting menu
    • Click (Options / Sound Devices) Make sure you have the right sound device selected
    • Click (Sound input/output) Set your "Push to talk" button, (must be done) - a recommended button for your push to talk is your "left alt" key Note: DO NOT use the same button as your in game talk button.
    • Run the (active locate test mode) - this checks your settings and codecs. Choose a codec from the menu and press Activate local test mode. When talking(To talk - you have to press and hold the "Push to Talk" button that you selected while you talk) the green light next to it will light up. The client will echo what you have just said. This function is a good way to check your OUtput Volume. You wont have to worry about Voice Activation settings, that is for if you dont use push to talk.
  4. Connecting to the WolfPack TeamSpeak Server, and saving it in your addressbook:
      • Click (Connection/Connect)
      • Select ("Local Addressbook" tab)
      • Right click somewhere in the white area and
      • click "Add Server"
    • In the right column you will now see some settings. For each setting type in the following:
      • Label - WolfPack
      • Server Address - 144.140.154.121:9057
      • Nickname - {your in-game nickname goes here}
      • Allow server to assign a nickname - {unclick}

      • Default Channel {leave blank}
      • Default Subchannel - {leave blank}
      • Channel Password {leave blank}
      ......it should look the image below
  5. Press "connect", this will automatically connect you to the server and place you in the lobby. If you want to talk make sure you press and hold the "Push to Talk" key that you selected. You are done!!!!
This is what the TeamSpeak connect to server should look like.

TroubleShoot Help

Why can't I access some rooms in TS?

Some rooms are passworded or for registered users only. You will gain access to these rooms when you become a full member.

How do I bind certain keys to move me into certain rooms?

By applying keybinds

  • In TeamSpeak go to: Setting -> Key Settings -> Add
  • Click Add
  • Define keys to your liking: our recommendation is ctrl + alt +1-5 for specific division rooms and the tild (~) key for the lobby. eg if you bind ctrl + alt + 1 to the CS:S room, when you press ctrl + alt + 1 you will move into the CS:S room.

Still having problems?

If you are still having problems with TS please ask on the forums and then when a solution is found it will be put here under the trouble shooting section
